Role Description The Prepress Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Faridabad. This role oversees the entire prepress workflow, including file preparation, proofing, plate making, and coordination with design, production, and printing teams to ensure accuracy and print readiness. The Prepress Manager reviews and validates incoming artwork and graphics, ensures compliance with technical specifications, and resolves prepress issues before printing. Daily responsibilities include managing prepress staff, scheduling and prioritizing jobs, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing processes in line with technological advances. The role also involves collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, troubleshoot technical challenges, and support continuous improvement in print production efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Pre-press and Plate Making, including workflow management and quality control.
- Hands-on experience in Print Production and Printing processes, with knowledge of sheet-fed and web offset environments.
- Proficiency in Graphics and artwork preparation, including familiarity with industry-standard design and prepress software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, PDF workflows, imposition tools).
- Proven ability to manage and train prepress teams, assign workloads, and meet tight production deadlines.
- Solid understanding of color management, file formats, proofing standards, and print specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to maintaining high quality and consistency.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with production, design, sales, and client teams.
- Diploma or degree in Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, or a related field; significant relevant experience in prepress management is highly valued.
- Experience in large-scale commercial printing or book production environments is an advantage.
