Role Description The Consultant Anesthesia will be responsible for providing safe and effective anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include pre-operative assessment, planning appropriate anesthesia techniques, administering anesthesia, monitoring patients intraoperatively, and ensuring optimal post-anesthesia recovery and pain management. The role involves close collaboration with surgeons, intensivists, nursing staff, and other clinical professionals to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care. The Consultant Anesthesia will participate in clinical decision-making, emergency response, and quality improvement initiatives within the department. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Batra Heart & Multispeciality Hospital in Faridabad.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology (MD/DNB or equivalent) from a recognized institution with valid registration.
- Strong clinical skills in general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, sedation, and perioperative patient management.
- Experience in managing critically ill patients, including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency resuscitation.
- Ability to interpret diagnostic reports, assess risk, and develop individualized anesthesia plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to patient safety, adherence to clinical protocols, and participation in infection control and quality assurance activities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and colleagues in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Willingness to work in shifts, take on-call duties, and respond to emergencies as required by the department.
- Prior experience in a multispeciality or cardiac hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory; openness to ongoing learning and professional development is expected.
