We’re Hiring | IP Market Development Associate
IPR Commerce is building a global marketplace for Intellectual Property, and we’re looking for a professional to drive our day-to-day market development and outreach.
What you’ll be doing:
- Connect with patent agents, IP professionals and IP owners through calls, LinkedIn and other online/offline channels.
- Introduce them to IPR Commerce, understand their interest and take interested prospects through demos and onboarding.
- Research and identify potential buyers of patents and other IP, find the right people within organisations, and understand their IP and technology requirements.
- Build relationships with buyers and sellers and develop opportunities for IP acquisition, licensing and other transactions.
- Research new opportunities, industries and potential participants; maintain follow-ups, update the lead pipeline and ensure opportunities move forward.
Who are we looking for?
Someone who is curious, proactive and comfortable talking to people, with an understanding of how technology and digital tools can make day-to-day work faster and more effective.
A background in Business Development, Inside Sales, Market Research, IP/Patent Services, Legal/IP Support, Technology Commercialisation or Consulting can be a good fit.
Knowledge of patents and corporate/legal processes is a plus, but you don't need to be a patent agent.
What matters most:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence in calls, LinkedIn outreach and sales.
- Strong research skills and the ability to identify the right people, organisations and opportunities.
- Consistent follow-up and ownership of leads and opportunities.
- Ability to understand and clearly explain a new concept and learn quickly.
- Comfortable using technology and AI tools to improve productivity and day-to-day work.
Experience: 1–3 years preferred. Strong freshers and experienced candidates may also be considered.
