Role Description The Solid Wood Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Moradabad, responsible for overseeing all stages of solid wood product manufacturing. This position manages production planning, supervises shop-floor operations, and coordinates with design, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and consistent product standards. The manager will monitor resource utilization, maintain equipment and tools, and implement safety and quality protocols. Daily tasks include guiding production staff, resolving process issues, optimizing workflows, and ensuring alignment with customer specifications and export requirements. The role also involves continuous improvement of production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and support the company’s high-quality, tailor-made offerings.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong expertise in solid wood manufacturing processes, including cutting, machining, finishing, and assembly.
- Candidates should possess skills in production planning and scheduling, capacity management, and workflow optimization.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of quality control methods, inspection standards, and adherence to export and safety regulations.
- Candidates should possess leadership abilities, including team supervision, performance management, and training of production staff.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving and analytical skills to identify bottlenecks, address defects, and implement process improvements.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with production documentation, shop-floor reporting, and basic use of manufacturing software or ERP tools.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with design, procurement, logistics, and customer service teams.
- Relevant experience in furniture, kitchenware, or houseware manufacturing, particularly with export-focused operations, is highly beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in wood technology, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a related field is preferred.
