Role Description The Production Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ramgarh. The Production Manager oversees daily manufacturing operations, including planning production schedules, allocating resources, and monitoring output to meet quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with maintenance and quality teams, supervising shop-floor staff, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements. The role involves tracking production metrics, identifying process bottlenecks, implementing improvements, and reporting performance to leadership. The Production Manager also supports inventory control, ensures timely order fulfillment, and fosters a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Experience in production or plant management within manufacturing, mining, or metals, with strong knowledge of production planning, process control, and shop-floor supervision.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, safety standards, and regulatory compliance in industrial environments.
- Ability to analyze production data, optimize workflows, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across operations, maintenance, and quality teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, manufacturing, metallurgy, or a related technical field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
- Comfort working on-site in a plant environment in Ramgarh, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and familiarity with ERP or production management software is beneficial.
