🍺 We’re Hiring: Brewing & Production Manager

Reporting To: Plant Head
Maka is looking for an experienced and hands-on Brewing & Production Manager to lead day-to-day brewery operations, manage production teams across shifts, and ensure timely execution of production and dispatch plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise Production Supervisors, Brewers and production personnel across shifts.
- Prepare, communicate and implement daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
- Coordinate brewing, fermentation, filtration, packaging and finished-goods operations.
- Coordinate with Sales, Stores, Procurement, Quality Control, Excise and Logistics teams to ensure timely dispatches.
- Plan manpower deployment and prepare shift schedules according to production requirements.
- Ensure the availability of raw materials, packaging materials and utilities before production.
- Maintain product quality and consistency by ensuring adherence to approved recipes, SOPs and process controls.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of production, inventory, loss and shift records.
- Implement improvements to enhance productivity, capacity utilisation and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, occupational safety and applicable excise requirements.
- Lead investigations into production deviations, quality issues and equipment breakdowns, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities with the Engineering and Maintenance teams.
- Train, guide and evaluate production personnel while promoting accountability and teamwork.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Brewing, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Production Management or a related field.
- Relevant experience in brewery or beverage manufacturing operations.
- Previous experience managing production teams and shift-based operations.
- Sound understanding of brewing, fermentation, filtration and packaging processes.
- Strong production-planning, problem-solving and team-management skills.
- Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food-safety standards and production documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and production-reporting systems.
- Willingness to work in shifts and handle time-sensitive production and dispatch requirements.
Candidates with experience in brewery operations and alcoholic-beverage manufacturing will be preferred.
