Role Description The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Army Solar’s manufacturing facility in Surat. This role oversees daily production operations, ensuring solar modules and related products are manufactured safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. The Production Manager plans and allocates resources, monitors equipment performance, coordinates with maintenance and quality teams, and implements process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Responsibilities include supervising production staff, managing shift schedules, tracking key production metrics, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory requirements. The role also involves collaborating with supply chain, engineering, and project management teams to support on-time delivery of orders and continuous optimization of manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to manage production lines, supervise teams, and coordinate daily manufacturing activities.
- Experience with production planning, workflow optimization, and capacity management in a factory or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of quality control practices, continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean or Six Sigma), and root-cause problem solving.
- Familiarity with safety standards, compliance requirements, and best practices for industrial health and safety.
- Comfort with using production management software, ERP systems, and basic data analysis tools to monitor output and performance.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate diverse teams and coordinate across departments.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- Prior experience in solar module manufacturing, renewable energy, or electronics manufacturing is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Surat, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
