The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor / Production Manager to take ownership of production from approved sample to final dispatch.
You will be expected to work actively on the factory floor and with vendors/job workers to ensure quality, timelines and production commitments are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and track production against POs, approved samples and delivery deadlines.
- Coordinate daily with factories, vendors, job workers, craftsmen and internal teams.
- Supervise production across woodworking, casting, fabrication, machining, sanding, polishing, plating/coating, finishing, assembly and packaging.
- Oversee woodworking including cutting, joinery, routing/CNC, turning, carving, veneer work, sanding and assembly.
- Monitor wood finishing including staining, sealers, PU, melamine, lacquer, polishing and matte/gloss finishes.
- Conduct in-line, mid-line, pre-final and final QC inspections.
- Ensure products match approved drawings, dimensions, colours, finishes and workmanship standards.
- Identify defects, bottlenecks and delays early and take corrective action.
- Control rejection, rework and material wastage.
- Coordinate multi-vendor production and ensure materials/components are available on time.
- Maintain clear daily production reports and verify quantities before dispatch.
- Ensure export packaging meets approved specifications.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–6+ years of relevant production experience in furniture, home décor, handicrafts, metalware or export manufacturing.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of wood, resin, brass, stainless steel, aluminium and iron products.
- Practical experience with woodworking, joinery, CNC/routing, veneer, sanding, furniture construction and wood finishing.
- Knowledge of metal casting, fabrication, welding, machining, polishing, electroplating/PVD and assembly.
- Ability to understand drawings, dimensions, tolerances and approved samples.
- Strong understanding of quality control and surface finishing.
- Strong vendor/job-worker management, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable travelling regularly between factories and vendors.
- Basic proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and production reporting.
