Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fresher Student Counselor role based in Kochi. The Student Counselor will assist prospective students by explaining study abroad options, eligibility criteria, and suitable programs based on their interests and academic background. Daily responsibilities include responding to inquiries, conducting counseling sessions, maintaining student records, and coordinating with internal teams for admissions, documentation, and visa support. The role involves guiding students through application processes, updating them on timelines, and ensuring clear communication with students and families. The counselor will also participate in outreach activities such as seminars, events, and follow-ups to support lead conversion and student engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally.
- Basic counseling and advisory skills with a genuine interest in helping students plan their education and career paths.
- Organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple student cases, documentation, and follow-ups efficiently.
- Proficiency in using computers, email, and office productivity tools; comfort with maintaining digital records and CRM systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate with admissions, visa, and operations staff.
- Undergraduate degree in any discipline; degrees in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business, or related fields are preferred.
- Willingness to learn about international education systems, admission procedures, and visa requirements for various countries.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages such as Malayalam or Hindi will be beneficial.
- Professional, student-centric attitude with high levels of integrity and commitment to transparent guidance.
