Learners gain experience through real-world labs, attack simulations, live workshops, CTFs, and project-based internships, supported by strong placement outcomes in roles like SOC Analyst and Penetration Tester. Based in Kerala and training learners worldwide, Offenso focuses on practical, battle-tested learning rather than theory alone, offering internships and career support across its major programs.
Role Description The Academic Counselor will work full time on-site in Kochi, guiding prospective and current learners through program selection, enrollment, and academic planning. This role involves meeting with students to understand their goals, explaining course structures and career paths in cybersecurity, and recommending suitable programs such as OCSA, OCSP, and ADIS. The Academic Counselor will manage inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings, maintain accurate student records, and coordinate with faculty and operations to support learner progression and satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include conducting information sessions, supporting outreach events, tracking learner performance, and providing ongoing guidance on internships, certifications, and placement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong counseling and advisory skills, including empathy, active listening, and the ability to guide diverse learners toward appropriate academic and career paths.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills for explaining complex cybersecurity concepts clearly and building trust with students and families.
- Candidates should possess organizational and administrative skills, including record-keeping, follow-up management, and coordination with academic and operations teams.
- Candidates should possess basic understanding of cybersecurity education or strong interest in technology fields to effectively discuss Offenso’s programs and industry opportunities.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using office productivity tools and CRM or student management systems to handle inquiries, applications, and learner data.
- Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, education, business, or a related field; experience in academic advising, admissions, or student support is highly beneficial.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work on-site in Kochi, manage a full-time schedule, and collaborate within a fast-paced, student-focused environment.
