Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Academic Advisor role based in Kochi. The Academic Advisor will guide prospective students through program selection, application processes, and study-abroad requirements, ensuring that their academic and career goals align with suitable institutions. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, explaining admission criteria, helping students prepare documentation, and coordinating with internal teams to track applications. The role involves organizing and participating in seminars or information sessions, maintaining detailed records of student interactions, and providing timely follow-up and support. The Academic Advisor will also stay updated on international education trends, visa regulations, and university offerings in key destinations such as the UK and Canada.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills to support learners through their study-abroad journey.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to explain complex admission and visa processes clearly and professionally.
- Candidates should possess Career Counseling and Education-related expertise to align programs with students’ long-term goals.
- Relevant experience in academic advising, international education, or counseling is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, manage multiple cases, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Comfort with digital tools, online meeting platforms, and basic office software.
- Knowledge of UK and Canadian higher education systems and visa processes is an advantage.
