Role Description The Chemist, R&D and Operation Management role is a full-time, on-site position based in Roorkee. The role involves planning and conducting laboratory experiments to develop and optimize advanced electrolytes and adsorbent materials for energy and environmental applications. The chemist will manage day-to-day lab operations, including handling chemicals, maintaining equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities include analyzing experimental data, preparing technical reports, supporting quality control of materials and processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on scale-up and production activities. The role also requires participation in continuous improvement initiatives, documentation of procedures, and coordination with management to meet project timelines and operational targets.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills and hands-on experience with chemical handling, synthesis, and instrumentation in a research or industrial setting.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and familiarity with characterization techniques (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography, electrochemical methods) for evaluating materials performance.
- Candidates should possess experience in Research and Development (R&D) and Research, including designing experiments, interpreting data, and contributing to innovative material solutions.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control knowledge and the ability to follow and improve standards, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistent product performance.
- Relevant qualifications include a master’s/Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional beneficial skills include understanding of energy storage or environmental technologies, familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements, and capability to lead a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines are highly desirable.
