Role Description The Assistant Chemist – Cosmetics is a full-time, on-site role based in Bawana, Delhi. The role involves supporting the development and testing of skin, hair, and body care formulations, including weighing and preparing batches, handling raw materials, and following standard operating procedures in the laboratory. The Assistant Chemist will perform routine quality checks on in-process and finished products, record and maintain test data, and assist in troubleshooting formulation or production issues. Daily tasks include conducting basic research activities under supervision, maintaining lab equipment and cleanliness, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines, and coordinating with production and quality teams to support smooth manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills, including safe handling of chemicals, preparation of samples, and adherence to SOPs.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control capabilities, such as performing routine tests, monitoring batch consistency, and documenting results accurately.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret test data, identify deviations, and support root-cause analysis in formulation and production.
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) and Research skills to assist in new product development, formulation trials, and continuous improvement projects.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, basic formulation principles, and GMP practices.
- Ability to follow documented procedures, maintain detailed records, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
