Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Chemist role based at the Tumkur facility. The Production Chemist will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations of herbal and nutraceutical products, ensuring adherence to established processes and quality specifications. Responsibilities include monitoring extraction and formulation processes, conducting routine in-process checks, and maintaining accurate production documentation. The role involves coordinating with quality control and R&D teams to support continuous improvement, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing GMP-compliant procedures. The Production Chemist will also contribute to process optimization, safety compliance, and training of production staff on standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills and hands-on experience with production-scale equipment and techniques.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for interpreting process data, test results, and resolving production variances.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Quality Control and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) to ensure consistent product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Candidates should possess exposure to Research and Development (R&D) activities, including process improvement and formulation support.
- Relevant degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Experience in herbal extracts, nutraceuticals, or pharmaceuticals production is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of safety standards, documentation practices, and regulatory requirements for manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
