Role Description The WATER/FOOD/MICROBIOLOGY CHEMIST POSITION is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai. The chemist will perform routine and specialized analyses of water, food, and microbiological samples following established methods and laboratory protocols. Responsibilities include preparing samples and reagents, operating and maintaining laboratory instruments, recording and interpreting test results, and ensuring adherence to quality control procedures and safety guidelines. The role also involves documenting findings in compliance with regulatory standards, supporting method development and validation, and collaborating with team members to resolve technical issues and improve testing workflows.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills, including sample preparation, handling of chemicals and reagents, and operation of analytical instruments.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills, with experience in QA/QC procedures, method validation, and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data, troubleshoot results, and apply critical thinking to complex testing scenarios.
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) and Research skills, including participation in method optimization, documentation of findings, and contribution to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of water, food, and microbiological testing methods and applicable national or international standards.
- Attention to detail, strong record-keeping skills, and ability to work safely in a laboratory environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
