Role Description The Senior Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Siliguri, responsible for overseeing end-to-end garment production from production to final dispatch. This role includes planning production schedules, managing resources, and coordinating with design, sourcing, and teams to ensure timely and high-quality output. The Senior Production Manager will supervise workshop operations, monitor quality standards, and implement process improvements that align with the brand’s focus on craftsmanship and mindful production. Daily responsibilities include production management, cost and inventory control, resolution of production issues, and maintaining clear documentation and reporting. This role also supports cross-functional collaboration to meet collection timelines, uphold brand standards, and drive efficiency without compromising artisanal integrity.
Qualifications
- Strong production management and planning skills, including experience in garment or fashion manufacturing and workshop supervision.
- Proficiency in quality control, process optimization, and implementation of production workflows and timelines.
- Ability to manage budgets, monitor costs, and oversee inventory and stock levels effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to guide production teams and collaborate with design and business stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a structured approach to documentation and reporting.
- Experience in vendor, artisan, and supply chain coordination, including sourcing of fabrics, trims, and other materials.
- Prior experience in clothing production, ideally within Indian textile and handwork contexts, is a strong advantage.
- Comfort working on-site in Siliguri, with a hands-on, inclusive management style that respects and supports artisan-driven processes.
