Role Description The Production Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The Production Manager oversees daily manufacturing operations, including planning and scheduling production, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring output meets quality, safety, and compliance standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with maintenance, quality, and R&D teams to minimize downtime, optimize process efficiency, and support new product and capacity expansions. The role involves managing shop-floor teams, implementing best practices, tracking production metrics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with company growth plans. The Production Manager also supports resource planning, inventory and material coordination, and adherence to certifications and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong production management skills, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Experience in flexible packaging, printing (CI Flexo, roto-gravure), lamination, or extrusion processes.
- Knowledge of quality assurance, process control, and compliance with standards such as BRC-IOP, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
- Proficiency in using production data, KPIs, and reporting tools to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated team leadership capabilities, including supervising shop-floor staff and fostering a safe, collaborative work environment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance coordination and basic understanding of production machinery troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Prior experience as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role in manufacturing, preferably in packaging or related industries.
- Comfort working in a fast-growing, technology-driven environment with large-scale capacity and expansion projects.
