Role Description The Senior Interior Designer at myNivasa will lead the design and execution of residential interiors, ensuring that each project reflects the client’s vision while meeting functional and budget requirements. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru includes developing design concepts, preparing detailed layouts, overseeing space planning, and coordinating FF&E selections such as furniture, fixtures, and equipment. The role involves collaborating closely with architects, project managers, and contractors, reviewing construction drawings, and conducting regular site visits to ensure design integrity and quality standards. The Senior Interior Designer will also participate in client meetings, present design proposals, manage revisions, and support project timelines from concept through completion. Mentoring junior designers and maintaining alignment with myNivasa’s design guidelines and brand standards will be an important part of the day-to-day responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and FF&E skills, including concept development, material selection, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment specification.
- Candidates should possess skills in Space Planning to optimize layouts for usability, flow, and aesthetic balance in residential environments.
- Candidates should possess Architecture and Construction Drawings skills to interpret, coordinate, and contribute to technical documentation and on-site execution.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, and several years of experience in residential interior projects.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), along with strong visualization and presentation abilities.
- Excellent communication, client-facing, and project coordination skills, with the ability to work on-site with multidisciplinary teams in Bengaluru.
- Experience managing multiple projects, overseeing vendors and contractors, and maintaining quality and timelines; prior work in the Indian residential market is an advantage.
