Entracte is a luxury interior design and execution studio based in Bangalore. We specialize in bespoke residential interiors with strong emphasis on creativity, detailing, timelines and seamless project execution. Role: Senior Interior Designer
We are looking for a seasoned and design-forward Senior Interior Designer (3+ years exp) to take full ownership of client projects and mentor a team of junior designers. This role is a blend of individual design leadership and people development (2:1 effort ratio). The ideal candidate is someone who can run projects independently from discovery to handover, brings strong design sensibility to the table and actively raise the bar for the team around them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead client engagements independently: Drive discovery, concept development, presentations and sign-off.
- Develop high-quality design concepts, mood boards, space plans, 3D visualizations (ACAD, SU, Enscape, etc).
- Detailed designing with materials, furnishings, fixtures and accessories; Ownership of closing on schedule.
- Deliver design walkthroughs, required documentations and drive sign-offs efficiently and on time.
- Conduct site visits to validate design intent and resolve execution queries with the site team.
- Coordinate with contractors, procurement and supervisors to ensure seamless design-to-execution transition.
- Manage client communication proactively - from brief to handover – with minimal escalation.
- Review and provide structured feedback on junior designers’ design outputs, drawings and presentations.
- Conduct design reviews and act as a quality checkpoint before work is shared with clients or the execution team.
- Support juniors during client-facing moments: co-present walkthroughs, prep them on handling client feedback.
- Foster a culture of design excellence, curiosity and accountability within the team.
- Contribute to design audits, governance meeting reviews and process improvement discussions.
Who is an ideal candidate:
- Interior Design graduate with 3–6 years of relevant experience in a design studio or firm.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, Enscape.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage residential projects end-to-end.
- Strong design sensibility with an eye for detail, materials and spatial quality.
- Natural communicator who can hold client conversations and build trust without supervision.
- Someone who takes genuine pride in the growth of people around them, not just their own work.
- Highly organized, self-driven and able to juggle multiple projects without dropping the ball.
