Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Haridwar for a Recycling Granules Extruder Machine Operator and Shift Incharge. The role involves operating and monitoring plastic recycling extruder machines, setting machine parameters, managing raw material feed, and ensuring steady production of granules according to quality standards. The shift incharge responsibilities include supervising production activities during the assigned shift, coordinating with helpers and technicians, maintaining production logs, and reporting any issues or downtime. The operator is expected to carry out routine checks, basic maintenance, and cleaning of the machines, while strictly following safety guidelines and standard operating procedures. The role also includes inspecting finished granules, managing material handling and storage, and collaborating with the quality and maintenance teams to minimize defects and optimize output.
Qualifications
- Experience operating plastic extrusion or recycling granules machinery, including setting parameters, monitoring output, and handling start-up/shutdown procedures.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical processes, troubleshooting minor machine issues, and coordinating with maintenance staff for repairs.
- Ability to supervise a shift, allocate tasks, maintain production and safety records, and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
- Understanding of quality control practices for plastic granules, including visual inspection, segregation of defective material, and adherence to specifications.
- Commitment to workplace safety, use of personal protective equipment, and compliance with standard operating procedures and environmental guidelines.
- Minimum high school or equivalent education; vocational training or certification in mechanical, plastic processing, or manufacturing operations is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or recycling plant, especially in extrusion or plastics processing, is preferred but not mandatory for motivated learners.
- Ability to work in rotating shifts, stand for extended periods, manage physical tasks such as material loading, and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
