Press Machine Operator
Location: D19 & 20, 1st Phase, Adityapur Industrial Area, Near Prabhat Khabar, Jamshedpur 832109
Department: Production / Press Shop
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Production Manager / Shop Floor Supervisor
Responsibilities:- Set up, operate, and monitor mechanical and hydraulic press machines to manufacture automotive components as per production plans and specifications.
- Load raw materials, dies, and tools, ensuring proper machine setup before production.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and production documents.
- Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, gauges, and measuring scales to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Monitor machine performance, make basic machine adjustments, and report any mechanical or quality issues to supervisors.
- Record production output, machine parameters, downtime, and inspection results accurately.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to achieve production targets while maintaining safety, quality, and 5S standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following company safety procedures and using appropriate PPE.
Requirements:- Minimum requirement: ITI, NCVT/SCVT, or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Fitter, Turner, or a related trade.
- Experience operating mechanical or hydraulic press machines in an automotive or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, work instructions, and understand basic machining and production processes.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, gauges, and measuring scales.
- Basic understanding of press tools, dies, machine setup, and quality inspection procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality and workplace safety.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Adityapur Industrial Area and in shifts, if required.
