Role Description The CNC Machine Operator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Rajkot. The person in this role will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications and engineering drawings. Daily tasks include interpreting technical documents, selecting appropriate tools, performing milling and machining operations, and adjusting machine settings to maintain accuracy. The operator will inspect finished components, perform basic quality checks, and record production data to ensure consistent output. Routine responsibilities also include cleaning and maintaining machines, reporting equipment issues, and collaborating with supervisors and teammates to meet production targets safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Machine Operation and Machinery handling, including safe setup, operation, and shutdown procedures.
- Proficiency in Machining and Milling processes, with the ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience in Quality Control, including inspection of parts, use of measuring instruments, and documentation of results.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming parameters and tool offsets is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, gauges, and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a focus on safety and housekeeping in the workshop.
- Prior experience as a CNC operator or machinist in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred.
- Relevant technical training or diploma in mechanical, production, or related discipline is beneficial.
