Job Description: Senior Development Engineer (10 Years of Experience)
Location: Hyderabad / Pune
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Development Engineer with strong expertise in programming distributed systems with working knowledge in protocols .The ideal candidate will have deep understanding of scalability, performance, fault tolerance, secure communication, resource management, and task coordination within distributed architectures. Experience with Java, Hadoop, SQL, query optimization, and security (encryption, authentication, SSL/TLS) is required. Experience with C++ is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize distributed systems focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability with working knowledge in protocols .
- Implement secure distributed communication mechanisms including encryption, authentication, and SSL/TLS.
- Develop high‑quality software using Java, and contribute to data processing components using Hadoop and SQL.
- Optimize SQL queries and data workflows for high‑performance distributed execution.
- Build resilient distributed components ensuring fault tolerance and efficient resource management.
- Collaborate with architecture, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver robust and secure distributed solutions.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and ensure smooth operation across multi‑node environments.
- Participate in design and code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10 years of experience in distributed systems engineering.
- Strong programming experience in Java.
- Hands-on experience with Hadoop, SQL, and query optimization.
- Solid understanding of distributed architecture concepts including scalability, resource coordination, communication patterns, and fault tolerance.
- Strong understanding of security concepts: encryption, authentication, and SSL/TLS.
- Experience with C++ is desirable.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Exposure to large‑scale data processing frameworks.
