TALENT BRIEF
Short-Form Video Content — One-Month Pilot
A Mumbai-based freelance video creator or small production team to shoot and edit 8–10 short-form videos in
a month, with the aim of becoming the client's go-to crew. Client name withheld at this stage; shared on
shortlisting.
Client Undisclosed — a technology-led daily commute bus service
Based Thane, Mumbai
Discipline Short-form video — ideation, shooting, editing, delivery
Engagement One-month pilot, with strong intent to continue
Output 8–10 short-form videos in the month
Location Mumbai-based only — regular on-ground presence required
The ask
The client is looking for a freelance video creator or small production team to work with them for one month
and produce 8–10 short-form videos. The objective is a consistent pipeline of high-quality, native video content
for their social channels.
Ideation support → Shooting → Editing → Final delivery
This covers shooting as well as editing. Confirmed directly with the client — they are not looking for an
edit-only partner. You shoot the footage and you cut it.
It is also not a one-off campaign shoot. They want someone who works closely with the brand team,
understands the brand, spots interesting stories and moments, and turns them into engaging short-form videos.
Why this is worth pitching for
The month is structured as a pilot so both sides can see how the working relationship goes. If it lands, the
client's stated intention is to keep the team on as their regular freelance crew — called in whenever there's an
event or a shoot. The pilot is the audition for an ongoing relationship, not a one-month gig.
What kind of content
A. Brand stories
Behind-the-scenes moments. The people behind the service. Interesting things about how it works. Everyday
passenger experiences. Small stories that make the brand feel human.
B. Social-first content
Relatable office-travel moments. Observational content. Humour and situational videos. Trend-led content
where relevant. Short-form storytelling. POV videos. Quick interviews and vox pops. Passenger-led content.
Shoot patterns
Discussed on the client call. Shoot days vary considerably in size, so build flexibility into your rate:
• Testimonials — full-day shoots, potentially around ten people in a single day
• Event capture — shorter, roughly two to three hours maximum
• Vox pops and on-ground grabs
Shoots happen in and around Mumbai, at the client's offices, at events and on-board. You'll be working with
real employees and real commuters rather than actors.
Output & formats
8–10 videos across the month, primarily for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other relevant channels.
Confirmed on the call that this will be a genuine mixture of formats, not ten of the same thing:
• 15–30 second reels
• 30–60 second storytelling videos
• Interview-led and talking-head formats
• POV and observational videos
• Trend adaptations
• Location-based videos
• Passenger and employee interactions
Who we're looking for
• Mumbai-based — the client is in Thane and wants a crew who can come in regularly and at short notice
• A solo creator or a small, tight team who can carry a video from idea to delivered file
• Genuinely social-native — work that reads as content, not as advertising
• Range across the slate: a quiet observational piece and a funny situational one in the same week
• Good with non-performers on camera, since most subjects are staff and commuters
• Own kit, able to work light and move fast, including on short two-hour event windows
• Reliable at volume — 8–10 pieces in a month needs planning, not heroics
• Collaborative with an in-house brand team on ideation and approvals
Commercials — how to quote
The client has not set a fixed budget and has asked us to advise. Please quote realistically for the work rather
than pitching low; they are looking for a capable team, not the cheapest option. Break it down as:
• Monthly fee for the 8–10 video pilot
• Your per-video rate
• Your per-shoot-day rate, and how you'd treat a short two-to-three hour event capture differently from a full day
• What's included versus billed separately — travel within Mumbai, additional crew, equipment hire, revisions
What to send us
• Showreel or a folder of links — short-form work specifically, ideally live social posts
• One example of ongoing or retained content work, to show consistency at volume
• Team size and who does what; whether you edit in-house
• Kit list, in brief
• Where in Mumbai you're based
• Availability and earliest start
• Your rate, broken down as above
