Role Description The Electrician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Quilon. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and wiring for stone machines, speeding machines, and block cutters. Daily tasks include inspecting equipment, identifying faults, performing troubleshooting on electrical components, and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently. The role involves reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with mechanical technicians to minimize downtime. The Electrician will also follow safety protocols, document completed work, and support continuous improvement of electrical reliability across the workshop.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in electricity and practical electrical work, with the ability to work safely around industrial equipment.
- Hands-on experience in maintenance & repair of electrical systems and components in machinery or similar industrial settings.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills for diagnosing electrical faults and implementing effective solutions.
- Background or training in electrical engineering principles relevant to industrial or workshop environments.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and safety guidelines.
- Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or apprenticeship in electrical work; licensed electrician status is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and capability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Prior experience with heavy machinery or manufacturing equipment is beneficial.
