Role Description The Electrical Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chennai Area, supporting the installation and maintenance of EV charging infrastructure. Responsibilities include performing electrical work for charger deployment, assisting with electrical layout implementation, civil works and ensuring that all installations meet safety standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves routine electrical maintenance, troubleshooting issues with chargers and related equipment, and supporting testing and commissioning activities at project sites. The Electrical Technician will collaborate with engineers, project teams and help maintain equipment reliability through preventive checks and timely repairs.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Electrical Maintenance skills and hands-on experience working with electrical systems.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Electricity and safe work practices around live and high-voltage equipment.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving faults in EV chargers and related electrical equipment.
- Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of Electrical Engineering principles applicable to installations and testing.
- Candidates should possess experience working with a variety of Electrical Equipment, tools, and instruments used in field installations.
- Relevant technical diploma or ITI certification in Electrical or a related discipline is preferred.
- Ability to read basic electrical drawings, follow standard operating procedures, and adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Willingness to work on-site at multiple locations within the Greater Chennai Area and travel to project sites as required.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients.
