Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Diesel Mechanic role based in Vasai Virar. The Diesel Mechanic will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel generators and related heavy equipment within the 15 KVA to 1000 KVA range. Daily responsibilities include performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, replacing faulty components, and ensuring generators meet safety and performance standards. The role involves keeping detailed service records, coordinating with the sales and service team on client requirements, and supporting installation and commissioning of refurbished and portable gensets. The Diesel Mechanic will also assist in recommending technical solutions to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime for clients.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Diesel Mechanics and experience working with diesel generators or similar power equipment.
- Proficiency in Vehicle Maintenance and Equipment Maintenance, including inspection, diagnosis, and repair.
- Experience with Heavy Equipment and knowledge of safe handling and operation of gensets and related machinery.
- Ability to perform Preventive Maintenance, including scheduled servicing, testing, and performance checks.
- Understanding of basic electrical systems related to generators and ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Relevant technical certification or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
- Ability to work on-site, manage physical tasks, and follow safety and regulatory standards.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technicians, supervisors, and clients.
- Prior experience in generator service, refurbishment, or power solutions is an advantage.
