Role Description The Welder role at Saffron Techmech is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The role involves performing various welding operations on metal components, following technical drawings and specifications to fabricate, repair, and modify parts and equipment. Daily tasks include setting up welding machines, selecting appropriate welding techniques and materials, inspecting finished welds for quality and safety, and collaborating with machinists and technicians to meet project requirements. The Welder is expected to maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to all safety guidelines, and support continuous improvement in production processes. The position requires effective communication with supervisors and team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in core welding techniques, including Welding and Arc Welding.
- Hands-on experience with specialized methods such as Mig Welding and Arc Welding.
- Knowledge of Materials, including properties of metals and appropriate filler materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Understanding of welding safety practices, use of PPE, and basic workshop safety standards.
- Prior experience in industrial or fabrication environments is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work on feet for extended periods.
- Relevant technical training or certification in welding or metal fabrication is an advantage.
