Role Description The Fabricator role at GSN Prefab Factory is a full-time, on-site position located in the Greater Ahmedabad Area. The Fabricator is responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing structural and decorative components used in prefab cottages, resort rooms, farmhouses, and other modular units. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, measuring and marking materials, operating fabrication tools and machinery, and performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and safety. The role also involves collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and installation teams to meet production schedules and maintain factory standards. The Fabricator is expected to follow established safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and support continuous improvement in fabrication processes.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication layouts.
- Hands-on skills in cutting, welding, drilling, grinding, and assembling metal or structural components.
- Experience operating fabrication tools and machinery such as saws, welding equipment, drills, and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles relevant to prefabricated structures.
- Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and commitment to safety procedures and guidelines.
- Physical capability to handle materials, stand for extended periods, and perform manual fabrication tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a factory team environment and communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues.
- Prior experience in fabrication, modular construction, or related manufacturing fields is preferred.
