Role Description The TIG Welder role at M9S is a full-time, on-site position at a client site based in Sonipat. The TIG Welder will perform precision welding on metal components, following technical drawings, weld symbols, and safety standards to produce high-quality, structurally sound joints. Daily responsibilities include setting up and operating TIG welding equipment, preparing and aligning materials, inspecting welds for defects, and making necessary adjustments to meet quality and compliance requirements. The individual will collaborate with supervisors and other technicians to meet production timelines, maintain a clean and organized work area, and adhere to all workplace safety and PPE guidelines. The role may also involve basic fabrication tasks, minor repairs, and contributing to continuous improvement in welding processes and workflows.
Qualifications
- ITI certification in welding or fabrication is a minimum requirement. Additional exposure to other welding methods (e.g., MIG, ARC) is an advantage.
- Demonstrated proficiency in TIG welding, including setup, operation, and maintenance of welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions with attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of metal properties, joint preparation, and welding techniques for various materials (e.g., stainless steel, mild steel).
- Knowledge of safety standards, proper use of PPE, and safe handling of tools and equipment in an industrial environment.
- Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting, preferably in fabrication, maintenance, or facility-related projects.
- Basic inspection and quality-control skills, including visual weld inspection and use of measuring tools.
- Ability to work on-site in Sonipat, manage time effectively, and collaborate with diverse teams and supervisors.
