Role Description The Video Editor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ernakulam, offered as a 1-month contract. The person in this role will edit video footage for brand campaigns, social media content, and promotional materials, ensuring alignment with creative briefs and brand guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include assembling raw footage, trimming and sequencing clips, adding transitions and effects, and optimizing videos for different platforms. The role also involves basic color correction and grading, collaborating with designers and content creators, and incorporating motion graphics and titles where needed. The Video Editor will be expected to manage timelines, respond to feedback efficiently, and deliver polished, ready-to-publish video assets.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in video production and planning, including understanding of shot composition and storytelling.
- Strong video editing skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Experience with video color grading and correction to maintain visual consistency and brand tone.
- Ability to create and integrate motion graphics and basic graphics elements for social media and campaign videos.
- Attention to detail, strong sense of timing and pacing, and an eye for visual aesthetics.
- Ability to work on-site in Ernakulam, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with creative and marketing teams.
- Prior experience in agency or brand-side creative roles is preferred; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating recent work is required.
