Role Description The Senior Civil Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and quantity estimation for civil engineering and construction projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, involving close coordination with project managers, engineers, and site teams to prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring project costs, updating cost plans, preparing cost reports, and ensuring adherence to budgets and contractual requirements. The role also involves evaluating variations, supporting contract administration, verifying vendor and contractor bills, and providing cost-related guidance to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Cost Control and Cost Management to monitor budgets, manage variations, and support financial decision-making.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Cost Planning and Cost Reporting to prepare forecasts, track expenditures, and provide accurate, timely cost data to project stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess solid experience in preparing and reviewing BOQ (Bills of Quantities) to ensure accurate quantities, rates, and tender documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying, or a closely related discipline.
- Several years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Engineer in civil construction or infrastructure projects, preferably at a senior level.
- Proficiency in relevant QS software and MS Excel, with strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and industry standards.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work on-site and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
