Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor MEP role based in Bengaluru. The Quantity Surveyor MEP will be responsible for managing costs related to mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) works, including preparation and review of bills of quantities (BOQs), cost plans, and detailed estimates. The role involves monitoring project budgets, evaluating variations, supporting tender processes, and preparing regular cost reports and forecasts for internal and client stakeholders. The Quantity Surveyor MEP will collaborate closely with design teams, project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate measurement, valuation of work, and adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements. The role also requires contributing to value engineering, risk identification, and supporting sustainable, cost-effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Strong cost management capabilities, including Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning skills.
- Proficiency in BOQ preparation, measurement, and verification for MEP works.
- Experience in Cost Reporting and financial tracking for construction projects.
- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in MEP quantity surveying within construction or consultancy environments, preferably on large or complex projects.
- Knowledge of relevant standards, contracts, procurement methods, and local regulations.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary project teams.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying/estimation software; familiarity with digital tools and BIM is an advantage.
