Role Description The Estimator role at ONNEXT Interiors is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Estimator will review drawings, specifications, and client requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for interior projects, including materials, labor, and subcontractor services. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting site visits, taking measurements, collecting vendor quotations, and updating cost databases. The Estimator will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and procurement teams to refine budgets, support pricing decisions, and prepare detailed BOQs and proposals for clients. The role also involves tracking project costs against estimates, identifying variances, and providing regular cost reports to support project delivery and profitability.
Qualifications
- Strong estimating and budgeting skills, including experience preparing BOQs, cost breakdowns, and project proposals.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and interior design drawings, specifications, and layouts.
- Good numerical, analytical, and data management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
- Familiarity with MS Excel and estimating or project management software; basic CAD understanding is an advantage.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with designers, project managers, vendors, and clients.
- Knowledge of interior materials, finishes, fixtures, and current market rates in the Bengaluru region.
- Ability to conduct site visits, take measurements, and work on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in estimation for interior design, fit-outs, or construction projects will be an added benefit.
