Role Description The Quantity Surveyor role at Starworth Infrastructure and Construction Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing and reviewing bills of quantities, estimating project costs, and supporting tendering and contract processes. Daily tasks include tracking project budgets, monitoring cost variations, validating contractor and vendor invoices, and ensuring accurate cost reporting to project and senior management. The role also involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to optimize resource utilization, manage risks, and maintain alignment with project timelines and quality standards. The Quantity Surveyor will participate in site visits, measurement verification, and periodic reviews to ensure financial efficiency and transparency across all stages of construction projects.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong cost management and cost control skills, with the ability to monitor project budgets and implement corrective measures when required.
- Candidates should possess experience in cost planning and cost reporting, including forecasting, variance analysis, and preparation of periodic financial reports.
- Candidates should possess expertise in preparing and reviewing BOQ (Bills of Quantities), ensuring accurate measurements, item descriptions, and alignment with drawings and specifications.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in quantity surveying tools and software, as well as strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Candidates should possess a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field, with prior experience in residential and commercial construction projects.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional site and office teams.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant construction contracts, standards, and regulations applicable in India; exposure to large-scale or high-rise projects is an added advantage.
