Role Description The Sales Manager role is a full-time position based in Lucknow, offered in a hybrid format with a mix of on-site customer engagement and some work-from-home flexibility. The Sales Manager will oversee sales activities for laboratory liquid handling instruments, including developing and executing sales plans, managing key accounts, and expanding the distributor and OEM partner network. Daily responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, conducting product presentations and demonstrations, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely follow-up with leads and existing clients. The role involves close collaboration with marketing, production, and customer support teams to align sales strategies with product availability and customer requirements. The Sales Manager will also monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to help shape sales forecasts and support strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong background in B2B sales and account management, ideally within laboratory equipment, scientific instruments, or related industrial products.
- Experience in developing sales strategies, territory plans, and revenue forecasts, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with distributors, OEM partners, and institutional customers across research, diagnostics, and healthcare sectors.
- Solid communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical product features in clear, accessible language.
- Comfort with CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic data analysis to track pipeline, performance, and customer activity.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is an advantage.
- Understanding of laboratory workflows and liquid handling applications is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel within the assigned region as required.
