Role Description This is a full-time Sales Manager role based in Lucknow with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site responsibilities with some work-from-home flexibility. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving health insurance sales, managing a team of sales executives and agents, and meeting assigned sales and growth targets for the region. Day-to-day tasks include planning and executing sales strategies, monitoring performance metrics, coaching and motivating team members, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with customers, agents, corporate partners, and bancassurance and broker channels, while promoting Star Health’s products and services. The Sales Manager will also collaborate with branch leadership, marketing, and operations teams to enhance customer experience, support digital initiatives, and contribute to local market development.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, including experience in target achievement, pipeline management, and market expansion.
- Team leadership and people management capabilities, with experience in mentoring, performance tracking, and motivating diverse sales teams.
- Customer relationship management skills, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and the ability to deliver a high-quality customer experience.
- Knowledge of insurance or financial services, preferably health insurance, including products, claims processes, and regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across channels such as agents, corporate clients, banks, and digital platforms.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills to interpret sales data, market trends, and team performance, and to prepare regular sales reports.
- Comfort with digital tools, CRM systems, and basic office software to support hybrid work and digital customer engagement.
