Company Description Farmerface Organic Technology & Research Institute Private Limited is registered with the Registrar of Companies under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. The organization focuses on vegetable production and bulk sales, with current operations in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and plans to expand services across many cities in India. Farmerface Organic works with a dedicated team to support organic vegetable farming and supply chain activities in its project areas. The company currently employs around 50 agriculture graduates and 20 marketing professionals (MBA) to manage and grow its organic farming projects. Role Description The Project Head Agribusiness is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhagwanpur Hatt. This role oversees end-to-end agribusiness project operations, including planning organic vegetable production, coordinating field activities, and ensuring adherence to quality and sustainability standards. The Project Head manages and mentors agriculture and marketing teams, aligns production plans with market demand, and monitors performance against targets. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with farmers and local partners, tracking costs and revenues, preparing project reports, and supporting bulk sales strategies. The role also involves identifying new market opportunities, improving operational processes, and maintaining effective communication with senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong agribusiness and project management skills, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of agricultural production activities.
- Candidates should possess skills in team leadership and people management, with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration.
- Candidates should possess business development and marketing skills relevant to agricultural produce, including market analysis and bulk sales support.
- Candidates should possess analytical and reporting skills, including data interpretation, documentation, and presentation of project performance.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness Management, Rural Management, or a related field; MBA in Agribusiness or Marketing is an added advantage.
- Experience in organic farming projects, vegetable production, or related agribusiness operations is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication skills in English and local languages, and the ability to engage effectively with farmers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Willingness to work on-site in Bhagwanpur Hatt and travel within the project area as required.
