This is a full-time, on-site Project Engineer role based in Chakan, focusing on civil, pre-engineered building (PEB), and site development projects. The Project Engineer oversees day-to-day project execution, including coordinating civil works, structural and PEB activities, and site infrastructure development in line with design and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Civil & Structural Execution
* Execute RCC foundations, pedestals, plinths and industrial
flooring.* Supervise reinforcement, shuttering, concreting and related civil works.
* Coordinate PEB erection, alignment, bolting, roofing and cladding.
* Check drawings and coordinate with consultants and PEB contractors.
Site Development
* Manage site clearing, excavation, earthwork and
grading.* Coordinate internal roads and hardstand areas.
* Execute storm-water drainage and external drainage systems.
* Manage compound wall, gates and other external development works.
* Check site levels, slopes and drainage requirements.
* Coordinate soil filling, compaction and testing.
Estimation & Billing
* Prepare/check BOQ and quantity e
stimates.* Take site measurements.
* Verify contractor RA bills.
* Prepare quantity reconciliation.
* Track material consumption and wastage.
* Identify and document variations.
Project Management
* Prepare daily/weekly executi
on plans.* Monitor project progress against schedule.
* Manage contractors, subcontractors and site manpower.
* Coordinate material deliveries and equipment.
* Maintain DPR, measurement records and project documentation.
* Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors and management.
Quality & Safety
* Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specif
ications.* Monitor quality of RCC, reinforcement, flooring, PEB erection and external works.
* Ensure proper work-at-height, lifting and general site safety practices.
* Coordinate with the safety team and contractors to resolve unsafe conditions.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering, structural design fundamentals, and PEB systems, with hands-on experience in industrial or warehouse projects.
- Proficiency in project planning and execution, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of site development works (roads, utilities, drainage, landscaping).
- Experience in construction supervision and site management, including quality control, safety compliance, and contractor/vendor coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents using relevant tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar drafting software).
- Familiarity with local building codes, industrial regulations, and standards related to civil construction and industrial infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple site activities simultaneously.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams, external partners, and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Previous experience in industrial real estate, logistics parks, or manufacturing facilities is an advantage.
