Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Site Engineer role based in Surat. The Site Engineer will oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring work is executed according to engineering designs, quality standards, and safety regulations. Responsibilities include coordinating with civil and structural engineers, supervising contractors and site workers, and monitoring progress against project timelines. The role involves conducting inspections, identifying and resolving on-site issues, maintaining site documentation, and reporting project status to project managers and senior engineers. The Site Engineer will also liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.
Qualifications
- Strong on-site supervision skills and experience managing daily construction or industrial site operations
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Knowledge of quality control processes, standards, and documentation for construction and engineering projects
- Understanding of structural engineering principles and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Background as a civil engineer or related engineering discipline with practical site experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field
- Familiarity with safety regulations, site compliance requirements, and basic project management practices
- Proficiency in relevant engineering and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD) and MS Office tools
- Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and adapt to changing site conditions
