Role Description The MEP Project Engineer will oversee Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for residential and commercial building projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and local regulations. Responsibilities include coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and site teams to review drawings, manage installation activities, and resolve technical issues. The role involves preparing and updating project documentation, monitoring progress against timelines, and supporting quality checks and inspections. The MEP Project Engineer will also assist in material selection, vendor coordination, and cost control related to MEP works. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mannarkkad, requiring daily presence at project locations and close collaboration with construction teams.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, with experience in integrated MEP design, installation, and coordination.
- Candidates should possess practical Plumbing knowledge, including layout design, water supply and drainage systems, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills, including power distribution, lighting, safety systems, and familiarity with local electrical codes.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills, particularly in HVAC, pumps, and building services equipment selection and performance evaluation.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and progress reporting for construction projects.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Experience in building construction projects, preferably residential or mixed-use developments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities, with attention to safety and quality.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office; MEP design software is an advantage).
