Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Engineer role based in Gundlupet. The Production Engineer will oversee daily production activities, monitor workflows, and support smooth operations on the shop floor. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling production, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and troubleshooting process issues to minimize downtime. The role involves implementing and maintaining quality control measures, conducting root cause analyses, and recommending improvements to enhance productivity and safety. The Production Engineer will also prepare reports, maintain documentation, and communicate clearly with management and team members to ensure targets are met.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in Production Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret production data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in Production Planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with procurement and operations teams.
- Knowledge of Quality Control practices, standards, and tools to maintain product consistency and reduce defects.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare reports, and provide clear instructions on the shop floor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Gundlupet, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to a dynamic production environment.
