Role Description The Executive Industrial Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Peddemul, focused on optimizing manufacturing processes across knit garment production units. Responsibilities include analyzing production workflows, designing and implementing time and motion studies, and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput. The role involves developing standardized work procedures, capacity planning, and layout optimization for sewing, cutting, dyeing, and finishing operations. The Executive Industrial Engineer will monitor key performance indicators, collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams, and support the adoption of lean manufacturing tools and methods. This position also contributes to cost reduction initiatives, supports compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and prepares regular reports and documentation for management review.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in industrial engineering principles, including process analysis, time and motion studies, and workflow optimization.
- Experience with production planning, line balancing, and capacity utilization in apparel or textile manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies (such as 5S, Kaizen), and basic quality management tools.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, process charts, and production data, with proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
- Previous experience in garment manufacturing or similar high-volume production settings preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and focus on efficiency and safety.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Willingness to work on the factory floor, conduct hands-on studies, and adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
