Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Placement Officer role based in Etah. The Placement Officer will build and manage relationships with local employers, industry partners, and training institutions to create placement opportunities for learners. The role involves coordinating campus placement activities, organizing recruitment drives, tracking placement outcomes, and maintaining detailed records and reports. The Placement Officer will provide career counseling, resume and interview preparation support, and guidance on job readiness to learners. The role also includes collaborating with training and education teams to align programs with employer needs and supporting continuous improvement of placement processes.
Qualifications
- Strong campus placement and employer relationship management skills, with experience coordinating recruitment or job placement activities.
- Effective communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to engage with learners, employers, and institutional partners.
- Career counseling abilities, including guiding learners on job roles, career paths, and employability skills.
- Training and facilitation skills to support sessions on interview preparation, resume building, and workplace readiness.
- Background or interest in education and workforce development, preferably within vocational training, higher education, or skill development contexts.
- Relevant undergraduate degree in any discipline; qualifications in social work, education, human resources, or management are an advantage.
- Comfort with basic MS Office and online tools for data entry, reporting, and communication.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and meet placement targets.
- Familiarity with the local job market in and around Etah is beneficial.
Identify, engage and build sustainable relationships with employers across industries for placements, with a special focus on MSMEs and apprenticeship opportunities.
• Build networks with employers, HR professionals, industry associations, foundations and ecosystem partners.
• Understand employer workforce requirements and align suitable candidates.
• Promote apprenticeship by educating employers on applicable schemes and benefits and facilitate empanelment’s.
• Conduct employer visits, networking meetings and awareness sessions.
• Develop repeat hiring partnerships through relationship management.
• Maintain an updated employer database and partnership pipeline.
