Role Description This full-time Medical Laboratory Technician role is a hybrid position based in New Delhi, with some flexibility for work from home as appropriate to assigned tasks. The technician will perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, and other specimens, following established protocols and safety guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing samples, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, recording and validating test results, and assisting in quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability. The role involves collaborating with medical staff to provide timely diagnostic information, maintaining proper documentation and inventory of reagents and supplies, and adhering to infection control and regulatory standards. The technician is expected to support continuous improvement in laboratory processes and contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Medical Technology and Laboratory Medicine skills relevant to clinical diagnostics.
- Candidates should possess core Laboratory Skills, including specimen collection, handling, and processing.
- Candidates should possess experience with Quality Control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in operating and maintaining Laboratory Equipment used in routine and specialized testing.
- Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of basic microbiology, hematology, biochemistry, and clinical pathology is preferred.
- Attention to detail, ability to follow protocols, and strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinicians and other healthcare staff and to manage workload in a hybrid work setting.
- Relevant registration or certification as required by local regulations will be an advantage.
