Role Description The Laboratory Technician role at Vinit Group is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Laboratory Technician will perform routine laboratory tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet internal specifications and international quality standards. Responsibilities include handling and maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing and analyzing samples, documenting test results accurately, and supporting quality control processes across production stages. The role also involves assisting in the development and validation of testing procedures, following safety and environmental guidelines, and collaborating with production and quality teams to resolve technical issues. The Laboratory Technician will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including sample preparation, testing procedures, and general laboratory practices.
- Candidates should be proficient in working with laboratory equipment and maintaining instruments used for material and product analysis.
- Candidates should demonstrate solid quality control capabilities, including monitoring standards and supporting inspection processes.
- Candidates should have well-developed analytical skills to interpret test data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Candidates should have prior experience in laboratory technician roles or similar technical positions in manufacturing or materials testing.
- Relevant diploma or degree in science, chemistry, materials science, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, safety protocols, and environmental compliance in industrial settings is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate documentation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
