Role Description The PLANT HEAD – PRODUCTION | ERW / MS BLACK PIPE is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Sikandarabad. This position oversees end-to-end plant operations, including production planning, resource allocation, and coordination with maintenance, logistics, and quality teams to ensure smooth output of ERW and MS black pipes. The role includes monitoring daily production targets, optimizing processes for efficiency, maintaining safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The plant head is responsible for enforcing quality control procedures, managing budgets and cost control, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational policies. Daily responsibilities also involve team leadership, performance management, and regular reporting to senior management on production metrics and plant performance.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Plant Operations and Production Management for ERW and MS black pipe manufacturing.
- 20+ year's of experience in Production Planning and scheduling to meet volume, quality, and delivery targets.
- Hands-on knowledge of Quality Control processes and standards in pipe manufacturing and related industries.
- Ability to manage Budgeting, cost optimization, and resource utilization for plant operations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary production teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of safety, environmental, and statutory compliance requirements for industrial plants.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with proficiency in using production and reporting tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience in ERW pipe or steel tube industry is highly preferred.
