Role Description The General Manager role at Hotel Mantra Palace is a full-time, on-site position based in Rourkela. The General Manager oversees day-to-day hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, ensuring smooth functioning and high-quality service. This role is responsible for managing staff schedules, leading and developing team members, and maintaining standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. The General Manager monitors financial performance, manages budgets, controls costs, and supports revenue growth through effective pricing and local marketing initiatives. Additional responsibilities include handling guest feedback and escalations, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating with vendors and local authorities, and implementing operational improvements.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, train, and develop staff.
- Strong operations management capabilities, including experience overseeing front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage functions.
- Solid financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and basic hotel revenue management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests, team members, and external partners.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of hotel standards, safety and hygiene regulations, and basic compliance requirements.
- Prior experience in hotel or hospitality management is strongly preferred; experience in a mid-size property is an advantage.
