Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Manager role based in Bhuj. The General Manager will oversee daily hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and overall guest services to ensure high standards of hospitality and service quality. The role involves managing departmental budgets, monitoring financial performance, and implementing strategies to optimize revenue, occupancy, and profitability. The General Manager will lead, coach, and develop diverse teams, ensure compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement in guest satisfaction. Responsibilities also include building strong relationships with guests, corporate clients, and local partners, and representing the hotel in community and brand initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel or resort management, preferably in 4- or 5-star properties, with a track record of leading daily operations and delivering strong guest satisfaction.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, including team building, performance management, and the ability to foster an inclusive, collaborative work culture.
- Solid financial and commercial acumen, with experience in budgeting, revenue management, cost control, and analyzing operational metrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests, teams, corporate stakeholders, and local partners.
- Knowledge of hospitality standards, safety and regulatory compliance, and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to plan and execute service and experience enhancements, coordinate with marketing and sales teams, and support local promotions and events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced certifications in hospitality or management are an advantage.
- Comfort with hotel management systems and basic digital tools; openness to adopting new technologies and processes.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
