As the organisation expands its engagement with government departments, PSUs, and public-sector training mandates, we are looking for a GeM Tender Executive to manage tender opportunities and support our government sales operations.
Role SummaryThe GeM Tender Executive will be responsible for identifying relevant government tenders, managing the end-to-end tendering process, preparing documentation, coordinating bid submissions, and ensuring timely compliance with GeM and other government procurement requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor the GeM portal and other government e-procurement platforms for relevant tenders and business opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate tenders aligned with the organisation's services and capabilities.
- Prepare, compile, and submit technical and commercial tender documents within specified deadlines.
- Manage the end-to-end tender submission process, including bid preparation, EMD requirements, eligibility documents, and compliance documentation.
- Maintain and update the GeM seller profile, service listings, and required documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as Sales, Finance, Operations, and Management for timely bid preparation and submission.
- Track tender status, bid results, purchase orders, and related documentation.
- Support participation in GeM bids, L1 opportunities, and Reverse Auctions as required.
- Ensure all tender submissions comply with GeM guidelines, tender requirements, GFR guidelines, and applicable government procurement policies.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of tenders, bids submitted, results, and upcoming opportunities.
- Prepare regular MIS reports related to tender participation, bid status, order pipeline, and business performance.
- Coordinate with government departments, PSUs, buyers, and GeM support teams for queries, clarifications, and issue resolution.
- Keep track of amendments, corrigenda, policy updates, and changes in government procurement procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in GeM operations, government tendering, e-procurement, or tender management.
- Hands-on knowledge of the GeM portal and government tendering procedures.
- Experience in preparing technical and commercial bid documents.
- Good understanding of tender documentation, eligibility criteria, compliance requirements, and bid submission processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets for maintaining tender trackers and MIS reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong documentation, coordination, and follow-up skills.
Preferred Skills- Experience in the education, training, skill development, or consultancy sector.
- Knowledge of other government procurement platforms such as CPPP and state e-procurement portals.
- Familiarity with government procurement guidelines and GFR norms.
- Experience in handling GeM service provider or training-related categories.
